SALON LYOL Gender-free Haircut Classifications

In order to create a more inclusive space, Salon Lyol has a gender-free haircut classification and pricing system based on the effort, creativity and expertise of the stylist. The system considers factors such as technique, complexity, length and volume of hair instead of gender. This is how we classify haircuts:

• Type 1 Haircuts: Dusting (with no shampoo and minimal blow-dry), Crew Cuts, Fades and short haircuts using mostly clippers work.

• Type 2 Haircuts (most popular): Short haircuts with mostly scissors work or mid-length haircuts and long haircuts.

• Type 2+ Haircuts (typically require more effort than a Type 2 haircut): Hair redesign, extra long or large amounts of hair.
